FAQ : Tournament & Requirements

Will I need a Uniform?

No, table tennis is a very affordable sport with no special uniform required. However we recommended that you wear the following:

Boys: sneakers, socks, shorts and short sleeved shirt* (polo or t-shirt)

Girls: sneakers, socks, shorts or skirt and short sleeved shirt* (polo or t-shirt)

As the colour of the table tennis ball is ‘white’ we ask that you do not wear shirts the colour white otherwise it is hard for the other person that you are playing against to see the ball.

What if I don't know the rules of table tennis?

It does not matter if you don't know the rules. The rules are easy to learn and in the first week we will explain the basic rules. There will be an information sheet that explains the basic rules.

Do I need to have played table tennis before?

No, Smash Hit is tailored for table tennis beginners; it does not matter whether you have played before or not! Beginners Coaching will be provided.

Will there be Coaching?

Coaches will be available at each club if you would like some one- one coaching.

Is the program going to be supervised?

Yes, each venue will have an adult organiser who will have a number of assistants to help with coaching and the organisation of the program.
